Izumo (the year before last)
I went to visit "Izumo Taisha" for new year's visit in 2008
lots of snow at Hiruzen highway parking area in Okayama
This is the second torii and the front gate of the shrine.
This area was famous for Kabuki. Okuni, the creator of Kabuki theatre was born in Taisha.
This is Haiden, a hall of prayer.
It was built in 1959.

new year's shrine visit 2010
January 1st, 2010
happy new yeah(r)!!
i went to visit temple and shrine on new year's day
people visit to shrine around 1am.
it was too crowded
lots of candles which people write their hope down on the glasses.
today's coordinate: shirts and leggings by UNIQLO
leather jacket by ZARA
boots by UGG
foodie by American Apparel
hat by Hush Hush
best "yakimochi" in my hometown, Matsuyama @Ishite temple
it's toasted rice cake filled with red beans
and "small Taiyaki"
it's a fish-shaped pancake filled with red bean jam.
Though there are lots of "taiyaki" vendor or shop in Japan,
it was so yummy at this vendor
